Ark Syndicate Management Credits Northdoor for Financial Sector Technology Award Nomination    

-        Ark Syndicate Management Limited shortlisted in the 2008 Financial Sector Technology (FST) Awards – for its rapid start-up using Northdoor N-DEX Suite

London UK –   2nd April 2008: Northdoor, an independent IT consultancy and provider of full lifecycle solutions primarily to the financial services industry, has announced that its customer Ark Syndicate Management Limited was shortlisted in the 2008 Financial Sector Technology Awards, in the “Best use of IT in Insurance” category. The ceremony was held in London on 27th March.

Ark Syndicate Management Limited is a Lloyd’s of London insurance agency. In early 2007, it selected Northdoor’s N-DEX Suite; a specialised underwriting application for claims messaging and signing.

According to Neil Ainger, editor of Financial Sector Technology magazine and chair of the judging panel, Ark Syndicate Management was shortlisted for the FST Awards 2008 because its N-Dex Suite underwriting software from Northdoor gave it a Lloyd’s and FSA-compliant package that provided swift implementation, functional flexibility and long-term scalability, enabling the firm to be launched in just a few months.

“Following capitalisation, we were under a great deal of pressure to be Lloyd’s and FSA compliant and ready for business,” said Nick Bonnar, director of underwriting for Ark Syndicate Management Limited. “Northdoor had us up in running with its N-DEX suite in just 11 weeks – which they hosted, managed and supported for us. We have been very impressed by the service and the insurance knowledge of Northdoor’s consultants.”
