Strategy: Consultancy in Action

A recent IT strategy study for a major insurer involved a review of business applications and the development of a one year IT plan to deliver systems to meet the business’s immediate needs. As a result of our project, the business was able to use its new systems to manage and monitor its performance within 6 months of the start of the programme, and ultimately to replace aging supported applications. 

A business review of the requirements of a major assurance corporation for a Private Health Insurance system ensured that the new system met user needs while fully supporting existing IT priorities.

In another project for a Lloyd’s syndicate, our analysis of underwriting operations delivered a requirements and functional specification that provided a sound basis for the development of a new risk recording system.

Finally, a study of the claims function of a motor syndicate, including prototyping and review workshops, delivered not only a requirements specification but also commitment to the solution across the business.
