Carlin Music, the world’s leading independent music publisher, were looking for a way to improve performance and increase capacity of their core financial and music royalty management systems. Working with Carlin we designed a solution based around an IBM System i525 and two IBM System x 3550 servers running VMware virtualisation software and a storage area network based on an IBM System Storage DS3400. The solution significantly increased performance and reduced power consumption.
