Peter Bedells, Deputy Chairman

As a co-founder and former CEO of Northdoor, Peter is responsible for ensuring Northdoor lives and breathes its ethos of delivering a personalised approach to IT that focuses on the client’s business, not on the technology. Since Northdoor was founded in 1989, he has played a pivotal role in its successful and continuing expansion from a niche consultancy to a full-service technology business, operating in a range of sectors and markets. Peter became Deputy Chairman on 1st July 2010.

Since becoming MD in 1992, Peter’s primary role has been setting the business strategy for the future, developing the opportunities presented by new markets and technologies for us and our clients. In the last few years he has overseen the creation of our Irish subsidiary, as well as a number of strategic acquisitions, while investing in the development of new products and services.

He continues to be involved in key client relationships and is particularly proud of the role he has played in helping some of Northdoor’s Group Risk insurance clients profit from Internet-based technologies.

Prior to setting up Northdoor Peter worked in a number of sales, marketing and project management roles at Sherwood and ICL. He holds a BA in Linguistic Science from the University of Reading.
