What is it?
Earlier this year, Northdoor plc, a leading provider of lifecycle IT solutions and services to the financial services sector in the UK, announced the incorporation of Northdoor as a limited company in Ireland. Northdoor Ltd opened up for business in August 2006, having spent the previous year establishing its operations in the areas of data warehousing and corporate performance management.

Andy Chalklin is Northdoor Ltd's managing director and Stephen O' Reilly is the commercial director. Chalklin had worked with Northdoor plc in the UK since 1993. Chalklin and O' Reilly are leading the business operation in Ireland. Both have a long history in the IT sector. The company currently employs nine people in Ireland and hopes to double this figure by July 2007.
Financial Situation?
With group revenue figures of approx €26m, and a net profit figure of over €3.6m for the last fiscal year, Northdoor plc in the UK was able to self fund the establishment of Northdoor Ltd in Ireland. No external investors were involved. Northdoor had already achieved revenues of approx €2m since beginning operations in Ireland. The company aspired to quadruple this figure by July 2007.
Furture plans?
Being sole distributors of Hyperion software solutions in Ireland, Northdoor is looking to recruit business partners and resellers to assist them in an SMB push in the coming year.
