Northdoor wins ‘IBM Centre of Technical Excellence Awards for Business Partners’ for the second year running
01 May 2012
Northdoor, the IT consultancy and solutions provider, today announced that it has received “IBM Centre of Excellence Awards for Business Partners” in four areas. The awards, established in 2011, recognise IBM business partners with the highest technical vitality. In its first year of running, Northdoor was the lead business partner to have achieved three recognitions. This year, Northdoor won accolades for ‘Power with i, Power with AIX and Enterprise Storage Skills with Distinction’ and ‘Overall Breadth of Skills’ for having the highest overall technical vitality scores of any IBM partner in Europe.
This comes just as Northdoor also achieved IBM’s Storage Specialist status, becoming the first partner in the UK to do so. Northdoor is in the top provider position when it comes to IBM storage solutions and this highlights yet another key recognition in one of Northdoor’s many specialist areas.
Simon Pendlebury, Vice President at IBM System Storage Europe, said:
“The Storage Speciality certification was designed for those partners who show technical and implementation skills of the highest calibre. IBM is delighted to award Northdoor the first Storage Speciality accreditation in the UK as proof of its ability to deliver complex storage solutions for their clients.”
Rob Batters, Technical Director at Northdoor, said:
“Northdoor has been working closely with IBM throughout its 22-year history and was made an IBM Premier Partner in 2005. For the standards to remain at this high level, our consultants are required to be trained and accredited rigorously on an ongoing basis. These awards reconfirm the commitment and technical excellence of our teams and our dedication to constantly offering a better service to our clients.”
AJ Thompson, Director of Enterprise Infrastructure at Northdoor, added:
“We are extremely pleased that our commitment to quality service and partnership has been recognised for the second year running. These awards come at a time when Northdoor is in an exciting growth phase, with an emphasis on expanding our information management, enterprise, and storage solutions offering. Building on last year’s accomplishments, 2012’s success shows the continued commitment that Northdoor has to our business partners.”
