Northdoor becomes the first UK partner to achieve IBM’s Power Systems Specialty status
08 August 2012
Northdoor, the business IT consultancy and solutions provider, today announced that it has earned the designation from IBM as a Power Systems Specialty Partner, becoming the first partner in the UK to attain this status. The IBM Power Systems platform features deep integration and optimisation across the full stack of hardware, operating systems, databases and middleware for simpler and more flexible service delivery. The system significantly improves the reliability, availability and serviceability of the infrastructure.
This announcement comes in what is shaping up to be a very successful year for Northdoor as an IBM partner. Earlier this year, Northdoor became the first partner in the UK to achieve IBM’s Storage Specialty status and also received ‘IBM Centre of Excellence Awards for Business Partners’ in four areas: Power with i, Power with AIX and Enterprise Storage Skills with Distinction and Overall Breadth of Skills, attaining the highest overall technical vitality scores of any IBM partner in Europe.
Helena Williams, IBM Power Business Unit Executive said:
“The IBM Power Systems Specialty certification recognises business partners who had achieved market differentiation by successfully advising and implementing solutions based on IBM Power Systems. This status acquires significant investment in skills as well as client references. As a Premier Business Partner since 1989, Northdoor is a worthy winner of this specialty status.”
AJ Thompson, Commercial Director of Enterprise Solutions at Northdoor, said:
