International i-Power 2016 is an annual conference that takes place over two days and consists of in-depth educational workshops and a multi-stream session day delivering up-to-date information on the IBM i and POWER System platforms.
Steve Will, Chief Architect for the IBM i operating system, will be opening the Conference, with his Keynote session helping to set the scene for the Conference day. Steve will share what is hot and new in IBM i and POWER and give an idea of the future road map for the platform, the operating system and the database.
Susan Gantner and Jon Paris will be presenting a hands-on workshop, and sessions, at this year’s conference. Their workshop abstract, entitled Hands-On RSE/RDi Workshop (Parts 1 & 2), is on the Workshops page.
Returning for the 3rd year in a row are the ever popular educational workshops that take attendees into a “deep-dive” insight of an IBMi related topic, delivered by renowned speakers and trainers. Attendees receive a certificate on completion. The agenda is still being constructed but we expect topics to include RPG, SQL, Security, Modernisation, Storage, PHP and more.
The second day is a multi-stream session format that includes sessions on PHP, Security, Modernisation, Mobilisation, SQL in RPG, Apps, Upgrades, and Real-life Case Studies, to name a few. The agenda is built to meet the requirements and needs of users of IBM i platforms.
