Northdoor will be attending the International i-Power conference

International i-Power 2016 is an annual conference that takes place over two days and consists of in-depth educational workshops and a multi-stream session day delivering up-to-date information on the IBM i and POWER System platforms.

Save the date: 7th & 8th June 2016, location: – Wyboston Lakes, Bedfordshire

Steve Will, Chief Architect for the IBM i operating system, will be opening the Conference, with his Keynote session helping to set the scene for the Conference day.  Steve will share what is hot and new in IBM i and POWER and give an idea of the future road map for the platform, the operating system and the database.

Susan Gantner and Jon Paris will be presenting a hands-on workshop, and sessions, at this year’s conference. Their workshop abstract, entitled Hands-On RSE/RDi Workshop (Parts 1 & 2), is on the Workshops page.

Returning by popular demand is Paul Tuohy who will also be presenting a hands-on workshop entitled SQL for the RPG Programmer! (Parts 1 & 2). Details of this workshop can also be seen here.
Susan, Jon and Paul are extremely popular presenters and are educators on the system i and reading their bio’s is a must here.

Educational Workshops
Returning for the 3rd year in a row are the ever popular educational workshops that take attendees into a “deep-dive” insight of an IBMi related topic, delivered by renowned speakers and trainers.  Attendees receive a certificate on completion. The agenda is still being constructed but we expect topics to include RPG, SQL, Security, Modernisation, Storage, PHP and more.

Day 2 – 8th June

Multi-Stream Sessions
The second day is a multi-stream session format that includes sessions on PHP, Security, Modernisation, Mobilisation, SQL in RPG, Apps, Upgrades, and Real-life Case  Studies, to name a few. The agenda is built to meet the requirements and needs of users of IBM i platforms.
