Northdoor has been recognised at Silver level in Consultancy UK’s 2026 Top Consulting Firms by area of expertise ranking for Cyber Security.
The recognition places Northdoor among the UK’s recognised cyber security consulting firms and reflects a combination of client and consultant feedback alongside an independent assessment of consulting capabilities.
As organisations face increasingly complex cyber threats, external recognition provides an additional point of reference when selecting a cyber security partner. While rankings should never be the sole factor in a buying decision, they can offer valuable independent insight alongside technical expertise, experience and customer references.
“Recognition in Consultancy UK’s Cyber Security ranking reflects the expertise of our consultants and the trust our clients place in us. Cyber security remains a board-level priority for organisations across every sector, and we remain committed to helping customers strengthen resilience and manage evolving threats.” AJ Thompson, Chief Commercial Officer, Northdoor
About the ranking
Consultancy UK assesses more than 1,400 consulting firms operating in the United Kingdom each year. More than 80% do not achieve a ranking position.
For the 2026 Cyber Security category, 45 firms were recognised across five levels: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

How firms are assessed
Consultancy UK’s methodology is based on two equally weighted pillars:
- Survey feedback from clients and consultants
- An independent capabilities assessment
The capabilities assessment considers factors including:
- Firm capabilities
- Industry awards and recognition
- Thought leadership
- Market presence
- Professional reputation
Each pillar contributes 50% of the overall assessment.
According to Consultancy UK, firms do not pay to participate in the ranking process and inclusion is not based on self-nomination.

Choosing a cyber security partner requires organisations to evaluate a range of factors, including technical expertise, industry experience, service capability and customer feedback.
Recognition in an established industry ranking is one indicator that a firm has been assessed positively across multiple measures. It indicates that a firm has been recognised through client and consultant feedback combined with an independent capabilities benchmark rather than through a paid-entry programme.
While no ranking should be the sole basis for selecting a cyber security provider, it can provide useful independent validation alongside due diligence, references and technical evaluation.
Why cyber security expertise matters
Cyber security remains a board-level priority for organisations across every sector.
Businesses continue to face growing challenges including ransomware attacks, identity-related threats, cloud security risks, regulatory requirements and increasing scrutiny around operational resilience.
The consequences of a cyber incident can include operational disruption, financial loss, regulatory penalties and reputational damage. As a result, organisations increasingly require cyber security partners that can provide strategic guidance as well as technical expertise.
