Public Sector IT Services
With ever-shrinking IT budgets due to the government’s austerity measures to tackle the financial deficit, the need to evaluate what systems to implement at the most affordable cost has never been so crucial within the Public Sector.
Reviewing ways to reduce system purchase, management and licensing costs whilst maximising the use of all of the features and benefits available from those systems is crucial to ensure that maximum value and ROI are achieved as soon as possible.

Creating an effective cybersecurity strategy depends on properly understanding your exposure. Northdoor and RiskXchange have teamed up to create the Cyber Risk Assessment of the UK charity sector, a report that shows the state of the industry and provides targeted recommendations for improvement.
By sampling 200 UK charities of all types and sizes, we calculated a weighted average Cyber Risk Rating of 700 for the sector. While the top score was an impressive 867, five different organisations brought up the rear with a measly 513, indicating a medium risk of a security breach.
Hotspots for poor performance in cyber security were seen in application security, email/DNS, network security, and SSL/TLS. For example, not one charity achieved a grade of A or B for application security. With mobile applications becoming ever more popular, the sector clearly needs to up its game. A major breach could leave donors exposed to financial loss, with enormous reputational damage to the charity concerned.
Our report does not only highlight shortcomings; it also provides seven key recommendations to help you improve both risk management and data protection.
