G-Cloud 15 was awarded on 6 August 2026. The Government Commercial Agency has said it aims to open the framework to buyers from mid August. From that point, public sector organisations will be able to search service listings, compare published pricing and, where the framework permits, award directly without running a full tender.
What is G-Cloud 15?
G-Cloud is the UK Government framework for buying cloud software, cloud hosting and cloud support services. Rather than running a separate procurement exercise for every requirement, public sector buyers search a catalogue of approved suppliers, compare published service definitions and pricing, and contract through a standard framework agreement.
G-Cloud 15 is the first iteration to launch under the Procurement Act 2023. It runs as an open framework over four years and replaces G-Cloud 14, which expires on 28 October 2026. The two frameworks run alongside each other until then, giving buyers time to transition rather than facing a cut off.
The framework is managed by the Government Commercial Agency, which brought together Crown Commercial Service and several Cabinet Office commercial teams in April 2026. For buyers, inclusion on G-Cloud 15 provides assurance that a supplier has met the framework requirements and can be engaged through an established government route.

Lists are updated daily and every search creates a complete audit trail, so organisations can evidence compliance with both regulatory and internal governance requirements.
Why a faster procurement route matters

G-Cloud 15 is designed to remove that delay. Buyers review service descriptions, compare pricing and, where appropriate, award without a lengthy competition, which shortens the gap between identifying a requirement and starting delivery.
