Northdoor has once again been awarded the government-backed Cyber Essentials (CE) Certification, proving their commitment to safeguarding their systems and data.

The Cyber Essentials accreditation was awarded following stringent independent evaluation of our systems by APMG International,  an award-winning training and consultancy firm. Part of the Government’s strategy ‘to make the UK one of the most secure places to do business in cyberspace’ Cyber Essentials is an important tool for any business or organisation at risk of Internet-borne threats. Companies with Cyber Essentials lower the risk of cyber-attack and offer assurance to customers that sufficient security controls are being used to successfully reduce the risk of any breach on systems and data.

To gain Cyber Essentials, an external assessment was conducted covering the five key elements of the programme, to prove that we understand and implement the necessary infrastructure that protects our company systems and data.

Rob Batters, Director of Managed & Technical Services said:

“ We are proud to have once again achieved the certification of assurance demonstrating to both our company and customers that we take cyber security seriously ensuring our policies, procedures and security measures adhere to government endorsed standards. With the implementation of GDPR, many companies and organisations breached due to lack of appropriate protection, will be subjected to hefty financial penalties. This certification confirms that our company’s IT systems comply with essential cyber security controls and provides assurance that Northdoor is protected against the most common cyber-attacks. A big thanks to our team for their diligence and input, without which our continual security improvement programme wouldn’t exist.”

APMG’s Cyber Essentials Team said:

“Well done to Northdoor plc. for achieving their Cyber Essentials certification, clearly demonstrating their commitment to taking the security of data and information seriously. We are happy to award them their certification.”

About Cyber Essentials
Cyber Essentials aims to help organisations implement basic levels of protection against cyber attack, demonstrating to their customers that they take cyber security seriously. The five basic controls within Cyber Essentials were chosen because, when properly implemented, they will help to protect against unskilled internet-based attackers using commodity capabilities – which are freely available on the internet. Organisations that undertake Cyber Essentials are encouraged to recertify at least once a year and, where appropriate, progress their security.
