Northdoor plc joins forces with Market Hill to assist Private Equity backed businesses in increasing their value through IT
By utilising the expertise of both companies, operating partners and portfolio businesses can now expect a unique set of methods and tools to construct and execute IT programs that make a real difference
Northdoor plc. has joined forces with Market Hill, a consultancy specialising in helping private equity operating partners and their portfolio company CEOs to achieve tech value creation.
As a Northdoor Group Company, Market Hill is able to access the huge array of knowledge, technical expertise and scale that sit within Northdoor plc, to better help PE backed businesses gain more value from their IT investment and legacy infrastructure.
Market Hill is headed up by Thomas Ballard, with Northdoor’s James Cherry (CTO) and Rob Batters (Director and Head of Managed and Technical Services) sitting on the Board. The combination of the two companies will allow them to, where possible share resources across Marketing, Sales and implementation.
“With so many operating partners and portfolio company CTOs looking for ways to cut costs or fix IT issues that impact the day-to-day running and efficiencies of businesses, the need for an independent organisation such as Market Hill has really grown,” said Thomas Ballard, Founder at Market Hill.
“The partnership with Northdoor allows us to add more value for our customers. By being able to tap into the huge range of experience that sits within the company, as well as the partnerships Northdoor has with leading IT providers, our customers can receive a new level of service. As a result, we are in the strongest position to help our private equity operating partners and their portfolio company CEOs to achieve tech value creation,” Ballard concluded.
Rob Batters commented. “We are delighted to be partnering with Market Hill. Thomas has identified an opportunity to help PE operating partners and their portfolio businesses to make real changes that can make a difference, not only to the day-to-day running and IT of an organisation, but equally importantly adding value.”
“This will not be a one-way relationship either. Market Hill can open the door for multiple opportunities for Northdoor, particularly around the methods, processes and techniques used in the value creation programmes. These programmes are often applied to capacity planning and modelling services or efficiency services, all of which Northdoor can help with.
“At Northdoor we hope that this is the first in several new ventures in the coming years which will add new capability and new thinking to our business, which is so important, particularly in the current climate.”
